Nobody told us what actually happens after your dad dies. Grief advice for men who've been through it — not therapy, not a checklist. The real stuff nobody puts on a sympathy card.
We went back through every conversation we've had on this show and pulled out the things our guests said they wish they'd known. The advice that doesn't come in a binder from the funeral home. The stuff guys only learn by living through it.
It's okay not to be strong. Grief is just the other side of love. Your dad's "organized finances" probably aren't. Someone should check on the grieving guy — even if he says he's fine. And no, you don't get over it. You just get used to it.
If you're new to the Dead Dads club — start here. If you've been in the club a while — this is the one to send to the guy who just walked in.
