Dead Dads is a show about losing your father, and everything that follows.

The memories you didn’t expect.
The jokes that still show up.
The paperwork no one prepares you for.
And the stuff you don’t always say out loud.

Hosted by Roger Nairn and Scott Cunningham. Two guys who recently lost their dads. Trying to figure this out in public.

Why this show exists

A lot of grief content is helpful. Some of it is also not built for how men actually talk.

Dead Dads is where we talk about:

  • missing your dad

  • being angry for no clear reason

  • laughing at the worst time

  • sorting his stuff

  • family dynamics

  • realizing you’re now “the adult” (which feels like admin, not wisdom)

If you found us through grief conversations like All There Is, welcome. This is the dad-shaped corner of it.

Start here

Pick one. Don’t overthink it.

1) Start with this if it still doesn’t feel real

2) Start with this if you’re “fine” but kinda numb

3) Start with this if you’re angry and you don’t know why

Leave us a voicemail

We built a Dead Dads answering machine. You can see the yellow tab on the side of your screen.

Leave a voicemail about your dad. A memory. A regret. A funny moment. Something you wish you’d said.

We might feature it in a future episode or on social, but only with your permission.

If you want a prompt, try this:

  • “The thing I miss most is…”

  • “The weirdest part has been…”

  • “I still laugh about…”

Practical help

Grief isn’t just feelings. It’s logistics.

If you need something useful (support lines, books, what to say to a friend, complicated grief), we put it all here:
